Universal Knowledge Software (UKS) was born from the merger between Urica and Erudite - 2 library industry dedicated teams that existed since the late 70’s in S.A. UKS was very fortunate to inherit pioneers of these companies that specialised in knowledge management, people who brought bibliographic standards (ISBD) to the South African industry, that were being implemented worldwide at the time. We have been operating for over 30 years and have a combined experience of more than 100 years. As a leader in our industry we have proudly distributed knowledge management solutions throughout Africa since 1983.

Our success is partly due to being in the UCS Group of companies - the largest JSE listed software and solutions group in South Africa. Further success can be contributed to forming strategic partnerships with SirsiDynix Ltd, Progressive Technology Federal Systems, Inc., TalkingTech Ltd and 3M South Africa. This enabled us to increase our product offerings.
